Well after forty years it's time to retire the old girl.

Rolling away on 40 year old tires, the spare has never been on the ground.

This trailer was used every summer up until last year.

Yes sir. Texas A&M class of 90. I've been fishing on Lake Livingston since I was a young girl.

Next time you are camping there, I'll row on over to visit.

Does the white lightpole at your campsite belong to the state park or is that Aggie paraphernalia?
That's my Aggie flag :-). I've been to the State Park there several times. My parents used to live right around the cove by the State Park. On that particular trip we went to Wolf Creek Park.

noticed the Kustom Koach emblem on the back of the trailer. That wouldn't be from the RV place in BC, by chance ?

Does that thing have Dexstar rims? I only ask because my neighbor was looking for a spare for his 68' Holiday Rambler..............$120 for one rim!! Take them things off and sell

After researching for him (he's 81 and doesn't know what the internet is ), I said "You sure you don't have a spare?". I crawl underneath.......there it is.

Don't know what type of rims, it has been a great old trailer. The inlaws lived in it while the house was being built, then the daughters and their kids, then the grand kids.
Everything worked and the only replacement was the toilet in all those years.
This guy is going to do a complete restore on it. It even has what looks like a Reese dual cam hitch.

Sweet looking setup!! What are you using for WDHitch? Let me know what you averaged for mileage. I'm planning on making the same trip next year to Fort Wilderness.

Thanks man! I run a Reese dual-cam WDH and it does a great job with sway control on top of the weight distribution duties. I also have a set of Firestone air bags for added stability The trip was much easier and worry free then I expected.

My total trip average was 9.0 MPG on the nose from NW Ohio to Disney and back. I drove between 70 and 72MPH on the expressway. The truck only left the campground 1 time while we were down there for a quick Wal Mart run. I was amazed at the difference running premium fuel. I ran premium the entire trip, but at one fill up they only had 87 regular available. That tank was only 7.5MPG!!! (and is included in the 9.0 MPG average)
