Lets see your campers being towed
#1746
Hooked up our camper last night for the first time to my 2013 F150 (max tow package). I am going to be honest and say that I was still a little skeptical that a 1/2 ton truck could handle our camper. I have pulled this camper with an F250 diesel, a Chevy 2500 diesel, and a GMC 2500 gas.
I am extremely happy with how well this truck pulled our camper. Our camper is a 2004 KZ sportsman 32' with the 4 bunks in the back. It is listed as 7500 lbs. empty. Not only did the truck pull the camper without a problem the ride was the smoothest I have ever rode in with the camper hooked up. We are heading on a 4 hour trip on this Thursday. I have never looked forward to pulling the camper until now.
Here are a couple of pictures:

Just got back this morning from a 12 day, 2200 mile trek up to the Finger Lakes area of Upper New York from the STL area. Overall mileage was 11.2 running premium gas and we had no problems with the truck or the 5'er all the way. Drove all the way back from Watkins Glen, NY to home after going thru the Corning Glass Museum yesterday morning. Got in at 5:30 this morning. Went to 3 different campgrounds while up there and had a very good time. That truck sure drives nice...even in torrential downpours in West NY, Northern PA and Eastern Ohio.

1 Camp Hickory Hills, Bath NY (Keuka Lake)
2 Cheerful Valley (North Seneca Lake)
3 Sned Acres (East Seneca Lake) and a distant third place at that
Obviously we don't have the drive you do.... and more obviously the wife and I love our wineries! Lol
Sorry to hi-jack, back to the pictures!

What areas did you stay in? We are heading out to Watkins Glen KOA this weekend. We've stayed on Keuka Lake and ask up and down Seneca Lake. My rankings so far off the campground in the area:
1 Camp Hickory Hills, Bath NY (Keuka Lake)
2 Cheerful Valley (North Seneca Lake)
3 Sned Acres (East Seneca Lake) and a distant third place at that
