Nice set up but that trailer sure rides high off the ground. Is it made for backroads and boondocking?

We have a similar setup, when the slide out is full-size floor-to-ceiling the wheel wells can't be recessed up into the body. It does give you plenty of ground clearance which is a plus.

My 2011 max tow ecoboost with timbrens and a non slider B&W hitch. Trailer is a 2013 Rockwood Ultralite model 8280ws with the Sidewinder pin box. Even with the 5.5' bed on the truck, no clearance problems. I can turn as tight as I want going forward. Haven't tried to jacknife it going backwards yet, and don't see a need to. I have towed for about 1500 miles already, and the towing experience is very comfortable. Pulled a couple of 6000 ft. passes in Utah, and it did just great. Coming from a Chevy duramax to this ecoboost, and I am very impressed with the low end torque.

Very nice setup! What's the weight on that trailer? I went camping this weekend for the first time with this eco, averaged 7.3mpg :O pulled like a champ though. Went through alot of hills through Utah/Idaho. Held 65mph throughout.

Looks really good... I have a Flagstaff (exactly same as Rockwood) but without the slide in the bedroom. No, my wife wants something bigger (again), did you get this thing weighted? If yes, what is the pin weight?

Happy camping

I took our Jayco 23b out for a spin this weekend, and it was cold, wet and well relaxing. This was a picture from shortly after I bought the truck, it does a good job pulling the trailer, but gas milage sucks (10.2 on my way out, and 8.9 on my way back). I know I need to get a new shank for my weight distribution hitch, so don't blast me too hard for that issue.

Our 08 Screw with our 11 Jacyo Jay Feather, 29' The 5.4 handles it like a toy. I've had many Trucks & Trailers, this is the best. Picture was taken the day we picked up the trailer. I traded my 03 Terry 27'
