Lets see some trucks with trailer pics!!!(09+)

Haven't done the exact numbers yet, but with 950 lbs of tongue weight and a 7800 lb trailer weight, I will be pretty much at my payload limit of 1505 lbs. With my old truck 200 lbs of that tongue weight transferred back to the trailer with the WD hitch, so in theory I should have 750 lbs of payload left for stuff and passengers in the truck.

Heading back home from our first trip of the year. Didn't bring the bikes with us so no front hitch bike rack on this trip, BUT, we did get the kayaks out on this trip and it was so much fun!

Thanks for the kind words but I don't want to be the poster child lol. I am not an expert nor a perfectionist but IMHO setting up leveled WDH to me is an art (and years of experience). As long folks know the general rule of thumb of the basic calculation (posted on this forum) that is the best place to start. It's when you go on a new trip then adding or removing things you bring with you is where the weight dynamic can/may make a difference and you have to re-adjust. All in all, just apply what you know and stay safe. Safe travels to everyone!

Towing a gooseneck with my 2010 FX4
Heres some pictures of some of the stuff I towed the last month. My truck has a trailer on it at least twice a week I’d say. In these I’m pulling a 20’ gooseneck with a 6’ dovetail and the other is a 18’ utility. Hauling a 2009 f150 and a 1972 international Scout. Sorry for the terrible pictures. Any questions then just ask

Great tower!
Still shaking things down but I finally have my tongue weight consistent when loaded and it pulls just great. Virtually no movement when just going down the road and just the slightest when being passed by a big rig. Totally controllable and this truck has the 3.31 gear ratio and a 5.0.
At the risk of getting abused I will also add that Pro Trailer Back up Assist is a very cool system and on this 24' aluminum hauler it works great😊.
