trailer is a converted heavy equiptment trailer. weighs approx 4000lbs. the cars are show cars and weigh more than they did stock. estimating about 5500 in cars.. plus i had 5 adults in the truck, 5 peoples luggage for 3 days and nights, wood blocks, jack, tools, ramps, you name it. all i can say is this truck tows like a beast! 5 hour trip to philly to go to tuner evolution this weekend. first time towing the 2 car trailer. nobody thought i could, but everyone was crazy impressed with it. plenty of power!

also forgot to mention i got about 10.5 avg mpg!

That is a great solution for getting your travel trailer, boat (or Jet Ski) and boat trailer to the destination.
That is thinking outside the box. Put the boat (or jet ski) on its trailer and then put that combination inside the travel trailer.

I have a similar towing requirement with my wooden rowboat which I trailer around the country to various wooden boat shows. If I had used your solution to the problem, my rig would be legal in all states. My current rig is illegal in all east coast states as well as California, Washington and maybe Oregon.

I never even considered putting my boat and trailer inside a travel trailer (toy hauler).

Boat and trailer (combined weight about 400 pounds):

My double trailer solution:

If I had paid more attention to these forums, I could be legal in all 50 states!

Ok, am I seeing things, or is the orange car strapped down through the doors?

I've been watching this thread through my inbox subscriptions. This is the first time in a long time I've actually come to the thread to see what someone is towing. WOW. I know it's in all the limits, but it just looks bad.

hahaha yeah it does. its within the limits, except the payload limit on the truck ( NOT a weight distributing hitch) but suprisingly it was fine.

and no, it is not strapped through the doors, we threw the extra from the straps in there. i was lazy.

It was trickey loading it. My 14 year old daughter helped me. After 30 minutes of head scratching and ratcheting it was inside the toyhauler. I have since come up with a better method of loading it that isn't a hard to accomplish.

Thanks for the photo!
Does your better method of loading include a power winch?

Do you find it difficult to get in the refrigerator when loaded like that?

That is a fine looking travel trailer.

Is that just one A/C unit for that whole trailer?
