Nope, not kidding. I came from the diesel world and this thing towed moderate at best. Total load was less than 6500lbs I believe, and the truck struggled on what I'd consider reasonable grades. In its defense it has highway gears and with no load you can feel its a torquey beast at low RPM's, just not enough IMHO.

No worries. New Ecoboost soon!

My EcoBoost pull 28 foot cruiser...About 10.5K and I never used more that 50 percent throttle. I have the 3.73 gears and I am very pleased.

2009 f150 at the cottage with my 2 atv's truck did not hick up once and it had lots of passing power still best truck i have ever owned

Thumbs up Not my boat, but its MY TRUCK!

Helped a buddy pick up his new boat. He didn't have a tow vehicle. I was happy to help.
