Absolutely! I have an automatic slider- a Pullrite 12K. Manual sliders are a PITA, and take too long to adjust in and out, especially in an emergency.

You CANNOT pull a 5er with a short box without a slider.

I thought that with some of the newer 5th wheel trailers that have the fronts with shaped cut outs that you could pull a 5th wheel in a short bed without a slider. Is this the case?

The ones with the cut corners will allow you to turn a few more degrees than those without them, perhaps to 40 degress vs 35. But for anything more, you still need a slider.

I'll have a look Ric, but as I said, Amazon has them for $48/pr. I don't know if Kijiji will beat that.

True but add shipping cost and time if you need them this weekend...I was pretty sure I didn't/wouldn't need them right away but I did. Good luck either way, you will be happy you bought them.

Kijiji in my area showed nothing.

The $48 includes shipping (it's nice to live 1/2 a mile from the border!!).

I'll get them ordered. I'm not taking the trailer anywhere until October, so I've got lots of time.
