Default Just an irritation with the new generation F150

With my previous generation F150s, 2010 and 2012, when I back up to my trailer and get the ball right under the coupler, I could set the emergency brake to keep the truck from rocking away when putting it into park.

The new 2016 still rocks when going to park because the emergency brake doesn't set right away. It seems to rock first, then set.

How stupid. It definitely works, just seems to have slack in it which allows the ball to rock out from under the coupler. Makes no sense why the emergency brake works this way.

I've noticed this before but finally thought I put it in writing after this holiday weekend camping trip.

I would hate that. But they seem to always fix stuff that aunt broke like the mechanical 4wd lever .

Thought was just me backing up numerous times to gain a inch.

I have no issues and hook up my trailer at least 4 times per week I just know what to expect for roll forward or back depending on if I am on a grade or not and ajust accordingly before I put it in park

All trucks will roll back a little still. Plan for it.

I've been towing forever. Every truck I've ever drove, doesn't roll once the E-brake is set, period.

This 2016 is the first truck to ever roll a bit after the brake is set, then lock up.

Since I've never had to account for a truck rocking with an e-brake, yes, it is irritating, but it can be done.

Same here. My Super duty stayed right where you put it. No movement at all.

Curious as to where the slack is in the system.
