Default Installing Timbrens

Does anyone have experience installing and using the Timbrens? I had one of the saddle brackets break at the weld under the flat plate while installing, will contact the vendor but wanted any feedback on installing. Is it important that the geometry between the rubber and the flat plates be parallel, it seemed after installing that they were not and also that the rubber actually didn't align with the middle of the plates, seemed to align toward the front edge of the plate. Any feedback would be appreciated. My vehicle is a 2016 F150 XLT Supercrew 4WD, 3.5 Ecoboost.

I have a slightly older truck so I'm sure the brackets are different. But on this truck and my previous truck no weld ever broke. I would contact Timbrens and see what they say.
