Bought it in July, it's a craigslist find. 09 Puma, I gave $8K for it.. Furnished. Family that had it was moving and didn't want to take it with them, so they sold it and left most of the camping stuff in it. Really it was a smoking deal.
I would think there should be some deals going on right now a being the camping season is coming to an end.

I tow a 23 BH TT with a GVR of 6250Lbs with my Screw 5.0 3.73 regular tow package. I've towed though the Rockies , B.C. and Idaho with no issues. For tow mirrors , check out **** F150 tow mirrors. They slide over the OEM mirrors and do a good job. Just watch your payload numbers.
I normally cruise around 100 km/hr or the speed limit if less. The truck feels happy at that speed.

I have a 2014 screw with 5.0 3.73 reg tow package. My tongue weight is 1550 lbs and my max tow is 9600lbs. The trailer im interested in possible getting next spring is a freedom express 230 bh. The trailers specs are roughly 27 feet length 450 tongue weight 4500 lbs dry weight. If my wife and son are in the vehicle and we put most are gear in the trailer are we gonna be able to pull this trailer fine? Also would i need mirror extenders as im in canada and tow package has reg mirrors here. This would be for weekend trips and week trips mostly on vancouver island so not long distances. Thanks in advance
Good luck.

Yeh, I'll sell you mine. They gouged and scratched the hell out of my original truck mirrors as they have to others. I'm replacing them with K-Source mirrors before they ruin the original truck mirrors and make them look really aweful.

Thanks for all the advice I haven't decided yet for sure on a trailer but i will be waiting awhile to buy so I have time. Definitely gonna rent a couple of layouts to see what works. I know too many people who bought a trailer then sold it for another shortly after.

Sounds like a decent match. The numbers on your truck sound just about what mine are, and we tow our 6500# 28 ft travel trailer just fine.
One tip -- if you don't have the factory trailer brake controller installed already, I'd definitely recommend it. It is head and shoulders over the aftermarket options out there. It will cost maybe $100 more, but it is the way to go.

I will warn you about going with a heavier trailer, you could exceed your payload rating. My trailer is roughly 6500 lbs loaded, 5050 lbs dry with factory options, and specified to weigh around 4860 lbs in the brochure.
Using an average 13% tongue weight and an average 80% (of tongue weight) transfer weight to the truck axles (20% to the trailer axles) with weight distribution hitch and it's spring bars engaged, I have a payload reserve of about 100 lbs with my trucks 1582 lbs payload rating, and my trucks bedliner, tonneau cover, my family, and camping gear of 800 lbs.
That reserve of 100 lbs lets my kids grow up, bring their bikes, or some firewood. With a trailer with a brochure weight of 6100 lbs, you're looking at a loaded weight of near 7800 lbs and possibly going over your GVWR with gear and your family in the truck.
Just keep that in mind.
