Great. So it seems like some trucks have issues with a 5.0L/3.31 gearing.
Has to be some programming issue, no? Why would the sticker say and all the research out there say it can tow 9,100lbs, but some people can only tow 2,000lbs???
My 2006 Hyundai Elantra with my 5x8 landscape trailer filled with firewood can tow that much.
I don't have the truck back yet. It's at the BOSS dealer having a plow installed. My driveway is HUGE, and I'm sick of snow blowing it.

Yeah sticker says truck will tow up to 9,100lbs.
It is a tandem travel trailer. I won't have any firewood at all. I will just purchase some when we go to where we are headed. A lot of places I have called anyway, say no outside firewood anyway.
A few local places to me in New England were OK with it, but they would still rather you buy it from them. So that weight won't be an issue.
It is just my wife, our 2 young girls (8 & 6), and myself. No pets or anything going. So just the 4 of us, with gear and camper. That's pretty much it.
I'm a truck driver, so I know of a few scales where I dump that will let me use the scales there for free. Not sure if CAT scales are free? If I use those, are they OK with me weighing multiple times, with & without trailer?
Also, my GCWR isn't listed on sticker on truck. Where do I find that??
So it sounds like I should be OK, as long as I don't go full retard and overload everything.

CAT scales are not free, and they charge a minimal amount for reweighs. https://catscale.com/cat-scale-locator/
Read and re-read what SmokeyWren said. Note "third trip" as you put more and more in the trailer. .. And read how to adjust your WDH properly, do NOT depend on your dealer. And remember that a WDH, adjusted properly for a dry trailer, will NOT be adjusted properly for a loaded trailer.

I really hope my configuration won't be a problem. I thought I did research as well as I could before I bought anything. I definitely didn't listen to salesman at the dealer, because I know they don't know crap.
I won't have truck until this Thursday, and camper maybe a few days after that. Ugh.

Idk, try working with your dealer 1st and if that gets you nowhere then try other options. It sounds like a tuning/programming problem with those who are having issues. So perhaps a custom tune might help.

I'm really hoping everything will be ok. I did want either 3.55 or 3.73 gears, but this was the only truck in all of new England that had the options I wanted. So I sacrificed for the 3.31 gears. :/

Goodyear has put out a guide for RV tires. It has a section on how they think you should weigh your rig. Take a look at: www.goodyearrvtires.com/pdfs/tire-care-guide.pdf
