I guess they've never seen those big yellow things called tow trucks. After watching that, a tow bill is a rather small price to pay.

I have a car trailer so I never use tow trucks.

However I always use it wisely. That was just not well thought and taking some big chances with an expensive truck.

Same here. There's no doubt the trailer was plenty capable. The operator, not so much......

not to mention the air bags, seat belts, crash testings....

That's also why you should never tailgate a truck with cargo(whether towing or loaded) some idiot like this may have loaded and strapped(or not) it in.
