Not sure if it carried through to 2015, but, my 2014 did not have a tow package, but it did have a hitch and ITBC. The way to tell if it had a tow package, or a max tow package was by the sticker on the hitch, there are 3 different weight ratings. Non tow, 1000# WDH, Tow package, 1100# WDH, and Max Tow, 1200# WDH.

So go go crawl under and look, that sticker will tell you what you need to know.

That doesn't work for the 15 and 16's. My truck has the IBC, trailer assist, and class 4 hitch. No trailer tow package, or Max tow package. Because mine does not have an auxiliary transmission cooler and heavy duty front sway bar, I'm restricted by Ford to a 5000 pound trailer.

They all come with a Class IV hitch, but there are(or were) 3 different rated ones installed, 1000#, 1100# and 1200#. Non Tow, Tow, and Max tow. If you want to pull more than 5K in a non tow, slap a trans cooler on and go for it. The sway bar is not a needed item to tow, but can also be added if wanted. I pulled 6300# up the mountains in my non tow 14 with ease, but would have been nice to have the added trans cooling, as it does heat up.

Interesting....

The 2014 Towing guide shows only one hitch, included with Trailer tow or Max Tow packages ...
Max Tow: 11,300
Max TW w/WDH: 1,130

It also appears that the Max Trailer Tow package for 2014 (and prior?) included manual (XL/XLT/FX) or power (Lariat/KR) telescoping trailer row mirrors.

I don't think those numbers are correct..I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure my 2012 with tow package has a 1050# WD hitch rating...

Powerscope (power folding and telescoping) were only available for 2013 & 2014 (in that generation, not sure about the newest gen). Before 2013, the only tow mirrors available were manual fold, manual telescope. Also, tow mirrors were standard with max tow in the US, but optional with max tow in Canada.

My 2016 XLT 5.0 SCrew comes with tow mirors (manual fold and telescopic), aux trans cooler, 3.73 diff and my hitch is rated 1100 lb WDH.
Is this the tow package or the max tow?
I've heard that max tow only comes with the 3.6 EcoBoost.

Going off what was on my 14 without a tow package, and based on other information pulled up over time, those were the numbers at that time, like I mentioned, 15+ could be different. I had a picture of it, but deleted it off my phone, it might be posted somewhere, if I find it I will post it.

That would be the standard tow package, Max tow has a 1220# rating. There is another thread around here somewhere with the exact numbers for all three hitches, just don't remember which one.

HiTCH RECEiVER
F-150
5,000 500
12,200
1,220

BTW, I am rounding up(or down) on the numbers, don't know the exact number OTTOMH.

It’s been a couple years but you are not limited to 5000#. You have 53b tow package. Same tow rating as the 53a just without the HD sway bar. The 5000# is for bumper hookup. The gen 13 doesn’t come with a hitch and only has a 4 pin connector for the non tow package.

53B "Medium Duty Tow Package"
2015 - 2016 = 5000
2017 3.5EB = 7000
2018-2020 - 2.7 & 3.3L = 6000 / 3.0, 3.5 & 5.0 = 7000

Limitations are located in the footnotes on the Owners Manual Towing Table.
