How do I know the Tow Capacity?

Some of you guys really need to look when the manufacturer is offering rebates. just a few weeks ago I picked up a 2016 F250 gasser fully loaded for $38k after rebates and dealer discount.
MSRP on the truck was $49,900
I'm just completely shocked I see a lot of these F150s being sold for the same price as I paid for my truck

I will try to price a new f150 max tow and see if I can get it in the low 30's

You want a new F-150 with max tow and 3.5L Ecoboost for towing a trailer. And you want it for out-the door price in the low $30,000 range You can get close with some compromises. XL trim but with the gotta-have stuff from the XLT, such as power everything and cruise control and nice cloth seats. 4x2 drivetrain, SuperCab instead of CrewCab. IOW,
2016 Ford F-150 XL SuperCab 4x2 6.6’ bed, 3.55 E-locker axle, 3.5L EcoBoost engine.
Per Ford.com build & price:
Description………………………….…..MSRP
Base Price…………………………………. $32,910
Equipment Group 101A…………….... $2,255 (see below for contents)
Equipment Group 101A Discount)…..($750)
Max Trailer Tow Package ………….. ..$1,195
Integrated trailer brake controller (included in max tow)
Power Tow mirrors: Manual-Folding, Manual Telescoping ...$ 395
Extended Range 36Gallon Fuel Tank..$395 (mine cost me over $1,000 aftermarket, but I gotta have it)
Smokers Pack…………………………………….$95 (There’s the cigarette lighter you asked about)
Running boards (demanded by DW) ...$250
Rear view camera with dynamic hitch assist (required by some other option, probably max tow) ...$250
3.5L Ecoboost V6…Included in base price
E-Locking 3.55 Axle…Included in base price, required for max tow
Destination Fee………………………………$1,195
Total MSRP $38,270
Per Edmunds.com, rebates and incentives total $3000 right now, so that’s a net of 35,270. Any idiot can negotiate 10% off of that, so that’s $31,743, plus TT&L. That's right in there with your lower $30s goal. And you and DW can fret about whether 4x4 and more room in the back seat is worth the extra cost of several thousand dollars.
Features of 101A equipment group include:
•Cruise Control
•Power windows
•Power door locks
•Cloth 40/20/40 Front Seats w/Manual Driver Lumbar
•Flip key and integrated key transmitter keyless entry
•Power tailgate lock
•Perimeter Alarm
•Illuminated entry
•Manual-folding, power glass sideview mirrors with blackskull caps (replaced by optional tow mirrors above)
•MyKey®
•AM/FM radio with single-CD player
•4.2-inch productivity screen with compass in instrumentcluster
•SYNC®
• Class-exclusive BoxLink™* – configurable universal pickup box interface system secures a wide variety of available Ford and aftermarket accessories such as stowable loading ramps, aftermarket storage bins, dividers and many others including E-Track™

Open the driver's door and look at the door jamb label. There will be a two digit number or letter number under the "Axle" label. You can go online from there to determine towing capacity.
