Since I have a cap, this wouldn't work for me, though I have thought about it. I have a Champion 3000? that will run the AC and Refer and MW at the same time. Tried it out and was quite surprised that it was doing all three. I do carry it in the back, and since I have a Bedrug, I dont need tie downs or anything to secure it, I just push it to the front, stick the gas can next to it, and my small tool box on the other side, point to it and say staaayy and it does.

I am thinking of getting some 3/16" plate and angles with expanded screen and make a platform for the rear trailer bumper. The plate will be used to weld the bumper to the frame as it would twist off in a heart beat if I had any real weight on it. I would make the platform to support the genny out of the angle and expanded screen, and bolt it to the bumper then and an arm off it to attach to the frame to keep it from rocking. Since there are no inlets or windows on the back wall of my TT I don't have to worry about the exhaust either.

This would not work for me, as I use the truck bed for too many other things and wouldn't want to permanently attach the tie-downs, but for a tow-vehicle exclusive truck it works well. I would also want the ability to drive away quickly in my truck for errands, athletic events, fishing, etc., while family members continued to enjoy using the generator.

Hi, The exhaust extension is actually a premade curved conduit. I'm also using a set screw type conduit connector. I don't want to have to R&R the exhaust pipe, so this is just right for me. My tie downs fold flat when not in use for the generator, but I have used them for strapping boards in place. One ratchet strap and two locks and this generator can be removed in a few minutes. And it's only in my truck when towing my trailer. Generator could be left with trailer too.

Hi, the Champion generators are getting quite popular, and great prices too. My type trailer can't handle extra weight mounted on the rear.
