Heh, if you find a good place for trailer parts up here, tell us all about it.

The adventureRV prices are good, but you have to add $155 shipping (plus possible customs processing fees?) for Ontario.

I may get one when in Florida.

Looks similar to my daughter's horse trailer. On hers, because of the V-nose, there is not enough length between the coupler and the front of the body to install a Reese Strait-Line WD hitch. She ordered one from etrailer.com but had to send it back because it could not be mounted on her tongue. I don't know about the Equal-I-Zer, but I suspect the same problem as with the Reese. In her case, she is using an old-fashioned weight-carrying (WC) hitch. Not a good idea with a 7,000 pound trailer with over 900 pounds hitch weight, but she still hasn't found a suitable WD hitch that she can have installed on her trailer. Tow vehicle is an F-250, so far no problems with sway or hitch weight.

She bought the trailer new, and the trailer manufacturer has been no help in finding a WD hitch that will work with her trailer. They say they have sold thousands of those trailers and all the owners use a simple WC hitch. But I still worry when she hauls my granddaughter and her horse, and maybe a friend's horse too, to a rodeo where she is a barrel racer.

We have had our differences but.....I use the Sway-Pro by Blue Ox. Not many use it or have even heard of it is rock solid and this is why I can tow at the speeds that I do....super, super solid, total lock up with the truck without bucking and jumping. Fully upgradeable with spring bars as high as 15,000 lbs. (which is what I use) so you know that the whole hitch is incredibly overbuilt. Get them at RVparts Canada and be ready to spend 750 bucks.

I just think we've had slight differences of opinion, that's all. That's the great thing about forums- and your opinion is appreciated whether I agree with it or not. I was actually just eyeballing that Blue Ox sway pro and reading some reviews. So you have decent luck with it? Does yours have the fixed head or the adjustable older style head? I am liking the simplicity of the chain wrap and the fact I don't have to drill the a-frame like the reese. And the Blue Ox is way more available around here and from what I am reading- it's quiet as a mouse compared to the others.

Thanks!

I've used the blue ox on our expedition for a few years now and it's been great. Looking forward to try it out with our new F150.
