....one more little thing.....
Forgot to mention that my ramps are aluminum (500 lb capacity each), and fold in the middle for easier storage....each has a handle for carrying, and I put a rope through the handle and loop it around twice, and tie. I was at a flea market type place the other week, and the guy wanted $50 for the pair....after selling something else that I bought there (made $10), I ended up paying a net price of $13 for the pair (in good shape, just had to hose them off)....and now I know that they'll handle the weight of my lawn tractor. Some days you eat the bear.....

No worries about the ramps moving if you use a ratchet strap from the ramp to the bumper or trailer hitch.
I've seen too many people injured either riding or pushing stuff into a truck and the ramps come out. Just strap them to the truck and no more worries.

I know you said you have ramps. I bought these ramps for my walk behind mower that weighs 400 pounds. The key is not straight ramps, but those with an arch at the top that levels off to the bed of the truck.
Helps with that butt clenching feeling.

That is the route I would take if planning to do this and did something similar on my last truck. I found D-rings with mounts that would let the bed bolt feed through and used them as my heavy tie down. If you run a cable through each D-ring and pull from the center, it would still be plenty strong enough to support the load.

I bent the front of my truck bed slightly on my 1993 F150 winching a mower up the ramps one time (delivering the mower that I had sold to the buyer). That is fine for an old work truck like mine, but for any truck newer or nicer, I would use a trailer. An inexpensive trailer for transporting the mower will be cheaper than the scratches and repairs on a good truck's bed and tailgate.
