I havn't figured out how to find a picture of the components all expanded with part numbers. Just got frustrated with the ford parts website and gave up. This has been covered in other posts within the last couple of months. If you can get a parts book or electronic equivelant these are some of the max tow specific things I recall and may or may not be true

actual reciever hitch
leaf springs and grommets probably the front grommet for the rear spring
steering box, lock to lock number of turns
radiator tubes and perhaps transmission cooler tubes.

I imagine things get more complicated if you start optioning the seven lug wheels and what that comes with.

My 2012 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew with the regular tow pkg is overloaded 100 pounds over the GVWR of the truck with my TT which grosses only 5,000 pounds with 650 pounds hitch weight. With the max tow pkg, I'd have 400 pounds more hitch weight capacity before I was overloaded. ...................I don't understand why Ford won't sell you the trailer tow mirrors without the max tow pkg, which requires the EcoBoost engine. I guess they think that if you are going to tow a TT you should have the 3.73 rear end with the EcoBoost engine, along with the max tow pkg. ............................ In my case, I was stubborn and ordered the truck with 3.15 rear axle and regular tow pkg. I bought the tow mirrors from Ford Accessories Catalog and installed them myself. It's suicide to tow a TT with the regular mirrors. ......................BTW, with my 3.15 axle, EcoBoost engine, integrated brake controller, Reese Strait-Line dual-cam hitch, and tow mirrors, my 5,000-pound TT follows along nicely. I've towed it over 4,000 miles so far, including the Hill Country of Texas and the so-called mountains of eastern Tennessee with no problems. Leaving Thursday for another 800-mile round trip through the Hill Country..............note that the website editor is screwed up today. When I save a post, it deletes all the carriage returns and makes just one long run-on paragraph. Thus the funny formatting above trying to indicate paragraphs.
...carriage return...
now that is funny you say that cause I was just talking to my brother last night about the word "carriage" opposed to the "enter" or just "return" key...

PS - my "carriage" return key works just fine...

Yah, I love the Dumbos. Even when they're not extended, they give great rear view, which I especially need 'cause the Leer cap restricts it a bit.

And it's nice they fold, cause they have been knocked about a bit in tight spots.

And although the MaxTow is supposed to have a beefed up rear receiver, it has the same non-WDH spec's as the regular one. 500#/5000# tongue/tow.

Thanks, I bookmarked it however It doesn't work in such a manner as you can figure out which configuration gets which leaf spring. You must crawl under yours read the number and get another just like it. While the 5.0 can't option max tow it lead me to 10 leaf spring choices just like the 3.5 engine which can have it. It does appear all the grommets at least for the two I followed through are the same for the 10 possible rear leaf springs.

The ford parts at dealers isn't always good, I spent like half an hour trying to get a caliper for my 2000 model, they kept bringing out single piston ones, finally found some lady to bring something to her car and ignored me. Went to a local place, Guess it joined carquest lately, just asked me a few questions, had a double piston one there that afternoon. The guy I used to use had retired and no perhaps I see why the employees can't figure it out.

Franny K...Are you trying to just see what the differences are of the different option packages or are you trying to piece all the particular HD or tow max items out?
What do you really want to know?
