Default Gooseneck towing with crew cab 5.5 bed

I'm wondering if anyone has done it. I'm looking at a hitch made by pop-up industries called the flip-over. Anybody tow with crew short tow a gooseneck?

I towed a 40' dually gooseneck equipment trailer with my F-150 SuperCrew with 6.5' bed. Just one trip to Blanco and Austin and back (about 700 miles round trip), and I never got in conditions where I had to back the trailer. So no problem with trailer to cab crunch. But I would not even consider trying to tow that trailer with a 5.5' bed.

I do with a 6.5 bed, and I have seen a couple doing so with 5.5 beds but only with tapered nose trailers. They said you just have to watch how sharp you turn backing.

Many trailer manufactures now offer 1/2 ton short bed Lite 5th wheels. Take a look at those, I don't think there would be much of a problem.

I always struggle loading pics on here. But I towed a gooseneck horse trailer with my last F150, 2011 5.5' ecoboost with a B&W turnover ball. Best hitch on the market hands down!!!

I have. Its a bitch to turn, but it can be done if youre careful with it. I routinely pulled a 31 foot 5th wheel with my 2011 screw short box, but I had a slider in there for maneuvering.
