Haha.. true that. Don't get me wrong, I would never own one but then again I'm not tow vehicle challenged either. The suggestion is more a compromise for getting the most useable space out of a trailer while still fitting within your (current) tow vehicle abilities.

True enough, they are marketed at small suv's and such due to the lighter weight for the given square footage.

However, I'm looking at lightweight TTs in the under 7K dry weight which will easily keep me within weight for my 2015 XLT.

The Primetime tracer 270Air, 300Air and 305Air are on my short list. The largest has a dry weight of under 6400 lbs and gross under 8k. I can pull that. I'd like to find one used for a deal though.

Check out the cougar half ton. I'm
Obviously biased but I think the bedroom door layout is better for noise.

We did look at the Cougars and I agree that the bedroom door layout is better. Single real door vs two accordion doors. We liked the cougar just fine, I reckon. It was substantially more money if I recall correctly though. I'd have to sit down and go through the pros and cons of each brand though. We did like the bunk arrangement of the tracer 300air/305air better. Easier to get in and out of than the double up/down in most arrangements. The 270Air has the same double bunks.

Im with you on the bunk arrangement. I would have preferred the double bed sized bunks but we got ours for 23500 in Oregon and it was lightest trailer that checked all the boxes we wanted. Best of luck on your search.
