Rather then purchasing at and having a RV dealer install a hitch, I recommend seeking out a hitch specialty shop. To be honest I didn't even know they existed until I recently purchased a used TT.

The TT came with an older Reese WD hitch with no sway control. I picked up the TT with the supplied Reese hitch and drove directly to the hitch shop. I had a great conversion with the owner. The very first thing they did was go out to my trailer, look at the specs and weigh the tongue. They also reviewed my truck capacities. As the TT is well below what my truck can handle there were no issues there.

With those details, we went inside and had a good conversation about my options. He showed me how to upgrade the current Reese hitch to include sway control. Also had a few other models to look at. In the end I went with a Blue OX Sway Pro.

As it happened the Reese Rep was in the shop at the exact time, so myself and the hitch shop sales guy kept my choice discreet.... Funny situation.

The hitch shop guys went out and installed the hitch as I watched. They then reviewed how to use it, and what changes I may need to make under certain circumstances. Additionally, I have the owners cell number and am free to call with any questions.

Could I have purchased this cheaper online? Probably. But in my opinion the extra few buck to talk and deal with a Pro was well worth it.

Make your initial adjustments with the fender well height measuring method. Then take it to the scales. It takes three passes across the scales to get the whole picture.
1. Trailer attached with WDH bars cinched up.
2. Trailer attached with WDH bars disconnected.
3. Truck only.

Find your door sticker. Looks like this:

Find the towing guide for your truck to get the GCWR: http://www.fleet.ford.com/towing-guides/

Find the sticker on your hitch receiver. Looks like this:

Downloadable spreadsheet. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bw...GVyVnNkREZNWE0

Put the data from the weight tickets, door sticker, hitch sticker and towing guide in the spreadsheet. Looks like this:
