Default First Time Towing With This Truck

2005 King Ranch. Suspension is stock and no leveling kits installed. My boat trailer is 22" measured from bottom of tongue to ground and the truck measures 18.5" to the inside top of the receiver. Do I do a 3" rise on my hitch?

You could, or just use a 0 rise. It's OK to tow nose down.

Would that affect tongue weight?

No, TW is TW regardless of the angle of the trailer frame. Unless of course the boat is full of water, then it could. Best make sure the boat is dry.

A standard 0 rise with the ball on the top will give you about 2" height above the receiver, so your trailer will be about 2" low from level which is just fine. Preference for towing is level or slightly nose down, so you will have it slightly nose down.

Here is one, https://www.etrailer.com/Ball-Mounts/Curt/D-4.html Flip it over from what is pictured. It is a pretty much universal size so you can pull just about any 2" ball trailer with it and be level or slightly nose down.
