Default Findng out what gears my truck has

I have a 2006 with the 5.4 supercrew cab, style side. I understand that there are 3 different gears from the factory (3.31, 3.55, and 3.73) the question is how do i figure out what my truck has, so i know my proper tow rating?

The sticker in the drivers door jamb will have an axle code at the bottom. Something like "H9" or "B6" etc. It will be alpha-numeric with two characters. If you post it here, myself or another can decipher it for you, or you can Google "ford axle codes".

Your axle code is B6, which translates to 3.73 ratio with limited-slip differential.
