On a side note, how did those clip on mirrors on the f150 work out for you? I had tow mirrors on my 2.7, but I recently traded it in for a 5.0 with standard mirrors. Since the 5.0 is a lariat the tow mirrors are stupid expensive. So think I might just buy some clip ons as I only tow on the weekends.
The **** slide-on mirrors work much better than the smallish stock ones. They are nothing like the tow mirrors but do stick out far enough, and allow you to adjust so you can see much more than possible with the short mirror. I'd offer to sell you mine but they are pretty inexpensive and shipping/packaging would probably cost as much or more than just buying new.

That is a very true statement. I loved my 13 5.0 and it pulled our GN 3Horse very very well. I bought my 16 6.7 F350 Dually knowing a bigger trailer was in our future, but towing the loaded 3H GN with 10K on board, there is no comparison. It will do 75 uphill in 6th like the trailer isnt even there. The stability of the SD is even more impressive than the power.

You won't regret it. I am almost a year into my 2016 F350 XLT. I really miss my 2012 F150HD, but the oil burner makes me grin like a 10 year old. Hauling my fifth wheel with it is a joy. That's why I bought it and BOY does it like to haul.

I did the same thing. I had the 2015 3.5EB with KO2's with airbags. No issues with stability or power. Mileage towing was not great, but my major issue was the wind blowing you all over the road. Truck just seemed a little light for the load. I had a 1840 payload on the F150. I have 2800lb with the F250 diesel but I dropped 4x4 as I have never used it before.

The power of the 6.7 is addictive! And, it is way more capable than a 5.0 - to the point they really can't be compared. The F250 will also be more firmly planted which is worth a lot...

That said, it is much more expensive to operate and maintain... and your gas mileage will not be as good as you might think. Amazon has good suscribe and save deals on Rotella T6.

I did the same thing three years ago. I traded my 2012 F150 Lariat Crew Cab, 3.5L EB for a 2015 F250 Lariat Crew Cab, 6.7L Diesel. My travel trailer was man handling my F150. I replaced the OEM 26 gallon fuel tank with the 50 gallon Titan fuel tank on my F250. I am set for awhile. However, I do like the features of the new aluminum Super Dutys.

I am not 100% sure, but I don't think the Rotella T6 was on the ford approved list of oils for the 6.7.
Below is the list:

Definitely considering a Titan tank when they release
for the 17s. The short bed does get a 34ish gallon tank but the trucks are reporting empty (0 miles on the DTE) but still have around 5 gallons in the tank based on fill up, so that is somewhat annoying.

I'll be interested to test the towing in a few weeks when I head to Bowling Green for the next race. There are a few hills through the Chattanooga area that are pretty steep.
