I can unbelievably tow 6000# quite easily without a wdh...how do I do this magical feat? I use common sense. I can clearly see my truck and the trailer and when loading trailer I know (from physics in high school 35 years ago) that if I centrally distribute the load over the axles, it will not overtly weigh down the hitch. you want more weight on the front than the back of trailer however the majority of weight is to be set on the axles of the trailer.

If you load the trailer and your truck isnt sagging...and there is some load on the hitch...good job!
What? When did I say sometimes? Every single one of my posts says required per Ford. I dont know when I contradicted myself.

I did say I didnt personally care if Simnut tows a 7000 lb trailer without WDH, his arguements make sense, I just dont know how Ford feels about it.

idk what anyone's weights are here, but if you are loading equipment and moving it rearward to get less tongue weight and level out your suspension without a weight distribution hitch, you are likely greatly increasing your chances of sway... if you have a 7k pd trailer and don't have atleast 700 pds of tongue weight, you are asking for sway.

Well yeah, of course it is going to sway...that is a lot of trailer for that Mustang GT. Ford only rates that hitch at 250/2500 weight carrying. Lol.
