Just wondering how hard it is to wire these for powerfold and running marker light . Not worried bout telescoptic .... Thanks for any help in advance ....
We carry a tow mirror kit with the power fold option that includes an installation kit to wire up the power fold option. The other wires have a plug that plugs into the harness to retain the factory features.

Here's a link to them. Tony

Wow thanks kjo43 , I was wondering why the heck a platinum wouldn't be wired for the folding option , I had already replaced the switch and like the link u showed me nothing happened . What is the DSM and where is it located ? Thanks again bud much appreciated ! Hope its that easy , but it is the same scenario as the 2011 Platinum ...

Drivers Seat Module=DSM. Giant box under your drivers seat.... I bought the new one - part number mentioned in the other thread and like magic power fold started working. ~$200 for the module and switch or hacking wires is your choice, both seem to work fine.

My 2012 lariat was the same as the 2011 you mentioned, so my guess would be yes.

Take a look at the thread linked below - post# 42, 51, and especially 74 (and there are others).

That thread is primarily about those of us who have done the mod to install the OE PowerScope power telescoping tow mirrors, but those posts I mention above have some info how we got the lower light to function as a marker/running light.

I followed the instructions that MrCdnVegas discusses in those posts, and my lower light works just as you want - it's on when my parking or headlights are on so it functions as a marker/running light.

Good luck!!

Where does the new power fold switch/button go? Do I have to drill for this thing? I hope...
