Yes, this was my 5th time installing it. All 5 times I torqued down the nuts evenly. I even whipped out the torque wrench to make sure they were all the same spec.

Tony, do these fit up with 2014? I realize the 2014 is identical to 2009-2013, but the website does not include 2014.

Also, these are manual telescope? or power?

I've got a 2014 FX4 Luxury Supercab.

Manual telescope. Not sure if it will fit a 2014.

now what i did with the purple wire i just cut it and taped off the truckside and connected to the mirror side. Im not 100% sure but the passenger side should be the same. I didnt pull that panel off and look.

The way i did it everytime your key is in the on position you bottom light on your mirror turn signal will be on, so in other words it will be more of a DRL vs parking light which i liked. Doing it this way i didnt have to run extra wire from the fuse panel.
So basically when the lock/window switch is illuminated the mirror light will be too? Does the dimming function on the dash affect the brightness of this light?

If I were to order some amber lens covers for the lights I assume I would need to order new clear bulbs? Does anyone have a part number for the bulbs?

That is exactly what my mirrors looked like. Dr mirror was fine and passenger had the same gap.
I fought the passenger mirror taking it on and off several times. The factory foam got it fitting just fine.

It's a 194 bulb but you can use a 168 or 2528.
