I would just trim the black window plastic so the mirror could sit flush on the door, Maybe use some double sided tape to seal the bottom edges to the door as well.

Below is a picture of my OE mirror - you can see that there's no gap.

It looks like the aftermarket ones have the exact same design, but for some reason yours aren't fitting tightly and sealing up like mine.

Ill cover it up this afternoon and see what happens. I was thinking the wind was getting under there and thats how i could hear it. Everywhere else fits pretty flush. I can sometimes hear a slight whistle from the passenger side too.

My passenger side has some fitment issues but at the top, not the bottom. I notice there is a good amount of road noise/wind noise coming from the passenger side vs the driver side. I have not checked the bottom fitment, but will make sure of it later today.

My passenger side top tip isnt very snug, but its not nearly as bad as the bottom. My driver side fits snug and still makes this noise which is why i figured it was the bottom gaps. Post some pictures of your fitment when you get a change

My boss has the OE mirrors too and his fit snug. I guess i can mess with them and see what happens but there isnt much i can do as there isnt much play in the mounting location.

I had some fitment issues on mine as well. I ended up using the factory mirror foam seal. That helped get the fit nice and snug. I do also have nice whistle on my driver mirror my factory tow mirrors did not have. I have not been able to track it down yet.

I guess I can change the foam out this weekend. Did the old foam fill in the gap at the bottom of the mirror? I took my passenger mirror off yesterday and there is no way to eliminate the gaps. that's just how they will fit. I have a very slight whistle coming from my passenger side. I do not know where it is coming from either. It's only audible above 50 mph.

Here are the pics. You can see the driver's side sits flush at the top but the passenger side doesn't. I did not have time to check the bottom but will when I get back home today.

did you tighten the 3 nuts in a similar fashion to how you would tighten a spare tire? just to ensure an even pull across all 3...
