I don't have any pics nor remember wire colors off hand but what I'll do is pull my panel in the morning and get some pics and better explain everything

ok here is what i did.... with the door panel off of couse the main harness that goes to your windows and door locks there is a green/purple trace wire

i simply spliced into this wire and ran a new wire to the purple wire to the truckside mirror harness

now what i did with the purple wire i just cut it and taped off the truckside and connected to the mirror side. Im not 100% sure but the passenger side should be the same. I didnt pull that panel off and look.

The way i did it everytime your key is in the on position you bottom light on your mirror turn signal will be on, so in other words it will be more of a DRL vs parking light which i liked. Doing it this way i didnt have to run extra wire from the fuse panel.

You just never mind. It's done now so that's all that matters.

so I think I have found the problem of my excessive wind noise. I have attached two pictures of the gaps where the mirror trim meets the body of the truck. both sides have it. Tony, is this supposed to sit like this or what? The mirrors can't move forward as the three bolts only allow so much room to manipulate. Does anyone else mirrors fit like this?

put a piece of painters tape over that spot and go for a ride. its the trailing edge of the mirror, I doubt thats it.
