Etrailer Curt reciever crack
Just ordered a month ago and I just noticed that the square has a crack at one of the 90 degree angles. Called them and they aren't sure they are going to do anything about it. Would you use it?

Just called and talked to someone and provided pictures. I was always of the assumption that Curt's stuff was good. One issue wouldn't change that assumption but was sure what the consensus is here.

After seeing the email, they are saying that this doesn't just happen. Using an equilizer wdh, I was within my limits of the class 4 hitch. I don't get why a brand new hitch breaks and now they are looking at me funny. Never had an issue like this in the year with the OEM Chevy hitch

Curt, or Etrailer?

Haven't heard back from etrailer yet. His words were in over 30 years of experience that he's never seen this before and asked what I was towing. The trailer I have grosses at 7800lbs so even 15% of that doesn't exceed the 1200lb wdh spec and we travel really light. We stay no more than 2 nights in the trailer with not a drop in it except a case a water and an 18 pack in the fridge.
From his email, I don't expect them to do much. I've had it for 35 days at the most.

Well, if Curt refuses to stand behind their warranty, that's disturbing.
Many credit cards offer protections. For example, Citi offer s 90 day Return Protection, up to $500. If Etrailer won't take it back, you'd call Citi and they'd pay up to $500. They also extend warranty by 2 years, but that's nothing if you have a lifetime warranty.

Many thanks! I just sent which wdh I was using. Screenshot from Amazon during that I purchased it there.
