How is some of yours that are setup? Washers and bars?

I've got 4 washers I believe and the bars are almost level but I still think there is room for improvement. When I bring the bars up, the front feels floaty which to me doesn't make sense as more should be up front in that scenario.

What does yours look like? I've adjusted mine 5 or so times and I'm not sure I can do any better.

When you say "bring the bars up" are you referring to adjusting the L bracket on the trailer up so the bars are under more tension, or adjusting the hitch head angle so that the bars sit more parallel to the ground before engaging?

I ask because one would increase distribution and the other would decrease it.

I honestly bought mine used from a guy and left it as is. It works really well and the truck and trailer sit level with no adjustment. I did recently add an extra washer(went from 5 to 6) because I was trying to tow with my Jeep that has a squishy suspension by comparison.

Hrmmm, you are not mentioning the level of your truck along with your TT so I'm not sure how or what you mean by 'bars are almost level'. You may already seen this but doesn't hurt to to watch it again:

Yes, sorry. The bars when I bring them up to the L brackets are almost parallel with the trailer a frame but not quite. I read somewhere that they should be parallel so when I bring it up which puts more force on the front of the TV, it feels like I have less control. Ive heard the washers are more of a fine tune than the bars since they do the same thing in regards to weight distribution so thinking about adding a washer but that's a huge pain to loosen and tighten the hitch head.

My hitch came with 4 washers installed and on a "paper" tongue weight of 899 lbs I have some sag. I moved the ball up one position to get it close to level with the coupler on the TT, and added 2 washers, one presumably to account for the higher ball height, and 1 more to add a bit more weight to the front of the truck. I may have missed it but what was your TT weight?

I'm running 5 washers front fender comes back to within 1/8" of no load height. Checked with a CAT scale all but 40lbs back on the steering wheels with the Equalizer connected. Drive axle gained 950 lbs. I tow the trailer a tick nose down from level. Knock on wood no issues

-5 washers (used 6 on GMC canyon)
-bracket for bars set at default recommended by manual - middle holes?
My front rims are back to stock with camper connected, about 5300lbs average.

I had a slight nose up on my camper, and checked with EQ, they said do not touch it leave it as is.

Try 3 or 4 different set ups and see which "feels" best.

Start with hitch ball and trailer coupler at same height. Equalizer L brackets set in the middle. As a baseline do 5 washers. Measure height from ground to top of front fender. Hook up trailer to truck with WDH. Take that front fender measurement again. Ideally you want to get back to same measurement as with no trailer hooked up. Add or remove washers get back to unloaded front fender measurement.

Only move those L brackets as a last resort if you need more than 8 washers....which you shouldn't.
