Default Equalizer 4pt hitch ?

Towed our '18 MR 2410RL 450 miles to FL on Sunday, 95% was interstate, truck handled it well, got the usual suck & pull/push from the 18 wheel big rigs, and some fast movers wanting to burn more gas and save 10 mins drive time. . LOL All it took was a slight steering input correction but never had a "oh %^&* moment at all. I was very pleased with the drive and was not "beat to death" or white knucked tired.

As we got closer to the CG and in city traffic, making slow turns, etc., the hitch was really talking loudly. I had greased/lubed the ball and sockets before we left, and figured I would do it before we left FL for the trip back home. I had only towed the TT on local trips, so never got any real noise from it in the past for the most part but after 450 miles it was pretty loud. I laughed about it but would prefer it be a be quieter during these times.

Any suggestions on what I could use as a "quickie" lube job while on the road, something to use at a gas or butt break at the rest stop??? Not interested in disconnecting, just something that will help and can be done as part of my normal walk around inspection at these stops.

Get the nylon pads for the L brackets, they really quieted mine down.

The pads are absolutely a plus...Towed ours for about 45000 miles so far!

Default Nylon pads

I agree the nylon pads made a world of difference for us. They don't seem to reduce the sway control either.

I've got a set in the cargo compartment, guess I'll have to try them on the way home, good to hear they don't reduce the sway control function. Was hesitant to try 'em for this reason.

I second the L pads. Then again there are those out there that (that I know) loves the squeaks because it helps them feel better knowing the bars are working lol.
