Enclosed trailers - 7' vs. 8.5'
My truck has standard fold-away heated mirrors. I don't have the telescoping "tow mirrors".
I'm looking at enclosed trailers and so far everything I've looked for has been 7 feet wide but the problem is that I really need a 20 feet length. And most companies seem to only offer the 20' trailers in the 8.5' wide version.
Anybody here tow a 8.5' wide trailer with standard mirrors? Is it doable? If so, is it miserable? Or would tow mirrors be a must?

Yeah... gotta have tow mirrors with the 8.5

Slap a pair of clip on mirrors. Most RV trailers are 8'+ wide, it will be difficult trying to see properly with non tow mirrors with those trailers, trying to see around 8.5" will be near impossible.

I bought Clip on Mirrors from etrailer for 61 shipped. Will be occasionally pulling a 8.5'
If I owned the 8.5' trailer, I would have bought Syppo tow mirrors (~280)

7x20 enclosed cargo trailers are available. Here's one:

That same URL also has a 7x24

I have a 7x14 cargo trailer. I would hate to have to tow that trailer without tow mirrors.
I installed Ford OEM tow mirrors from an XLT, so power glass, but they manually fold and telescope. It requires about 15 minutes for me to R&R the tow mirrors with the fancy but small Lariat mirrors it came with. But I just leave the tow mirrors mounted all the time.
My tow mirrors are not now in the accessories catalog for 2015-up F-150s. The only tow mirrors in that catalog for 2015-up (at a good price) are the manual glass/manual telescope/manual fold tow mirrors from a Plain-Jane XL. But I would get those and install them now if I had to tow a 7' or wider cargo trailer with a '15 up F-150. If you cannot take 15 minutes to R&R those tow mirrors, you ae not a serious trailer toter.

Those cost $350 direct from Ford. You can buy them for less than $300 from a discount Ford dealer such as http://parts.autonationfordwhitebear...rd/fl3z17696aa

I just noticed you have a 2013 F-150. So the same tow mirrors I have are in the accessories catalog for your 2011-2014 F-150. "Power tow mirrors" with power glass, but still manual fold and telescope. About $340 from a discount Ford parts source (list $440) for the pair.
