Here is my 2 cents, know the dry weight of the trailer! Once u get to your destination get the water and stuff you need, That may not work for everyone! Here is a link i think everyone should read.

That's what I do lewisfk. Why carry that extra weight if you don't need to I say. Almost everywhere we camp they usually have water and sewage so we always come in empty and leave empty.

I carry about 15 gallons of fresh water for lunch and potty stops along the way. Black and gray tanks are always emptied at the campground. And since my fresh water tank is at the rear of the 5er, it can reduce weight at the pin.

My freshwater is literally right on top of the front axle, doesn't do much for pin weight.
