Again - I may be overreacting to the test drive, and it's probably all in my head. But that's where I'm ending up.

Thanks again for all the advice and information. I would have been completely lost without it.

Make sure you check the available payload on an F250 King Ranch (or platinum or Lariat). More Bling and extras = less payload. If it's a diesel, you may be back in 1/2 ton payload territory.

You did a test drive, you didn't like the combination, no shame in that. Getting out with an RV is about relaxing and having a good time with family and friends SAFELY. It's not a trailer pulling contest. For me the relaxing starts when I pull the trailer away from the house. If I can't enjoy the drive, How will I enjoy the trip?

Good Call IMO!

Completely agree! It was the first thing I did before heading to the dealership. GVWR is 10k. Curb weight is 6900. Adding weight for all the additional upgrades, people, and cargo has me about 2k under GVWR. It's the 6.2 V8 under the hood. Before I close the deal, I'm hooking up the trailer with load and getting it weighed... just to be 100% sure.
