I have been double towing off and on for years. You just can't backup more than a couple feet without unhitching the back trailer, so as long as you plan for that you'll be fine. I do now have a 3/4 ton but have done it with my old half ton.

Couple things I figured out real quick doing it are ya need a camera back there and a longer tongue on the second trailer. I am going to add trailer brakes to the second one as well. Getting the weight hitc set up might be fun.

A camera would be nice. My 7x8 tilt trailer had a good length tongue. The new 6x10 is just a regular trailer and I haven't had issues.

I am doing some trading with my dad to get his 5x10 that some one added a longer tounge to. They added a tool box on it it is a tilt trailer as well. I plan to shorten it as much as I can move the axle back and loose as much wieght as I can off of it. The axle is in the center of the trailer and being a tilt it pulls like crap.

Took it on a 340 mile trip this weekend took a little adjusting to get it to stop swaying. Basically can have almost no tongue weight on the back of the camper. I added sway control to the second trailer as well. The truck pulls them great honestly has enough power to get it done. 75mph is really as fast as I want to go with it I did take it to 80 once.

Please let us know where you live. I don't want to be anywhere around you towing that at 80.

Crazy.
