Anyone towing a CC fishing boat? I am in the final stages of purchasing a 2018 3.5 EB, FX4 Off-road with Max tow. My boat/trailer is approx 7K loaded ready to fish (23' Mako). My trip to the ramp is 250 miles round-trip and done 1-2 times per month with a trip to the keys twice a year (8 hrs). I hear this truck and set-up should have no problems. I was also looking at a 6.2 3/4 ton. Any concerns with the EB?

I haul that much with a 2.7. Yours should be easy-peasy as long as the trailer is set up properly.
If you have problems, don't blame the truck.

Thank you. Trailer has been set but woukd recheck with new truck. What's your MPG towing? My Tahoe with 5.3 was at 8.1. I figure the same. I am not sure how this truck is rated more then the f250 6.2.

any mods needed for towing? I have read about airbags. Anything else jump out that helps? I know I have a lot of reading as I am new to the forum.

Air bags won't be needed if the trailer is set up properly. See my earlier post in this thread about my tongue weight. Yours should be between 450-500 lbs for best results.
As for mods, tow mirrors are a must. Having them makes towing so much less stressful because of the amazing visibility they provide. Blind spots will be 100% gone. My only other suggestion is Bilstein shocks for the rear. The valving mechanisms are vastly superior to OEM and make a noticeble difference towing. I had them on my old truck and wish I had them on this one, but not bad enough yet to buy them!
Oh, one other thing. Make sure your ball mount can handle the load. If you tow other trailers, an aluminum adjustable height ball mount is worth every penny. I bought an open box Trimax off amazon for about $110. LOVE IT!.

As for mpg, mine is 9-11 towing around 65 mph. I have 3.73's and the 6 speed.

I tow a 34' camper that is a bit heavier than your boat without any issues. You will be fine, mileage wise i get 7-9mpg but im pulling a giant sail in comparison to a boat. My boat is only a 21' cuddy cabin, its 4-4.5k lb with fuel and trailer and it pulls like nothing. I live 2 miles from the ramp so i can't comment on that mileage.

I will be pulling a 3500lb boat, as well as a 561lb ATV in the bed. I have the 3.55 ratio. I know I'm within weight limits, but i will probably be 100-200lbs over my payload capacity. I have air helper system (Firestone Ride Rite) on the rear. I will do my best to level it. I can adjust air pressure from the cab on the fly (i have an internal pressure gauge as well). No big deal.

I have a 6.5 hour haul to make to Missouri Ozarks with this setup. Have never pulled this much at once.

Anyone have any suggestions / comments / concerns with me doing this haul?

Depending on your trucks payload you may not be as over as you think. I am going to assume that 3500lb figure isn't the dry weight of the boat, remember fuel and beer coolers are heavy. We recently weighed the tongue on our old 19ft boat, its about the same weight as yours maybe a little less, figure 4250 gassed up on the trailer and tongue weight was 280lbs. Lets round that up to 300 + 560 for the ATV puts you at 860 in the truck. Not a light load but also not horrible if you are in something like a 3.5 Eco XLT.
