Default Backup + Cargo + Trailer/5th wheel cameras

I have a 4" screen in dash, looking for a solution to add cameras that will help me with my trailer and 5th wheel? Is there a way to integrate all the cameras to my factory screen? Any suggestions...

The problem comes in with the active inputs. You would need a way to control which input you are looking at. From a functionality point, yes your factory screen can show the video from multiple cameras (meaning it can show any video, not just video from the specific factory reverse camera). However, there is only one video input on the factory screen. Also, the system is programmed to switch from the radio/nav/etc. to the camera view when you put it in reverse. There isn't anything much fancy going on, the camera is powered by the reverse light circuit, and when that happens the video is sensed and the screen switches.

So you would have to find that source at the back of the screen, and then re-route the signal.

Next find a input selector that works with RCA/coax. This will allow you to select the desired video feed. Connect both cameras in to it. Plumb it to the back of the screen. Assuming you have the back-up camera on the trailer wired in on the reverse circuit, all you have to do then is select the input like you do on a TV from the DVD to Cable.

Also, depending on the year of your truck, there is a factory option that is wireless. I think it is in the '18, definitely on '19. Hang on to your pocket book though!

I've been doing a lot of research and I contact this company called NAV-TV. They said they can do all that... Cargo camera will work with a external toggle switch, which is not that bad, backup camera will work in reverse, so I can switch between cameras in reverse, and the 5th wheel camera will work any time when it is attached to the truck. The guy said any time that I connect the 5th wheel the system will bypass the rear camera automatically and show the 5th wheel camera on the screen. That sounds pretty attractive. He will email me the parts and the quote for all the parts, I'll post his answer over here just in case more members want to do the same.

I apologize for the delay. The interface module we currently have is for an 8" display. We will have the module for the 4.2" display to allow you to add the multiple cameras available within the next week. If you decide to go with the NAVTV module you can still pair our cameras with that.
Our forum discount is $30.00! Please call with any questions. 888-844-9763 We're happy to help!
Happy Holidays!

NAV-TV is offering some good deals on all the parts for Ford. Contact tiago@navtv.com for more details, he was the one that gave good deal on all the parts.
