Default Aux power needed for airlift compressor

Hello.i am helping my neighbor install airlift bags and wireless compressor on his 18 f150 king ranch.got the bags in with the brackets.mounted the compressor and valve block to the under bed rail above the rear diff.it says to hook the power to ignition switches power.anyone know of an ignition switched power source in the truck I can hook to.

Not sure on the 18s but you might be able to tie into the 12v charge line on the 7 wire trailer harness. On my 13 once the relay was installed it was live anytime the key was on.

This what was I was thinking, but I think the 2018's have a "smart" connector for the trailer and doesn't activate the wire unless it senses a trailer is connected.

That is also what I had heard, but wasnt sure. Maybe the fuel pump power wire?

I would connect to the battery thru a relay,and the relay switch hooked to a wire that comes on with the ignition on..

Yes, run separate power for the compressor. May not be a lot of amps, but it's never bad to avoid taxing critical circuits.
