Default Anyone elses truck rock?

When I come to a stop with my cargo trailer, the entire truck rocks back and forth. I don't recall my 2014 doing that. I also found that the cargo trailer, which is a 6 x 12 enclosed single axle, weighs no more than 2K, with a TW of only maybe 200 or so, causes the truck to wander around. It doesn't sway tows very nice, but the nose of the truck is all over. I am wondering if something is loose somewhere causing all these problems. But what the hell can it be?

Are you sure the tongue weight is right? Sounds like you have much more than that, and that would cause the front end to wander.

I haven't actually weighed the cargo trailer, its not that heavy, but I can barely lift it up and thats straddling it and using everything I got to lift it an inch. Regardless, on the 14, when I stopped, the truck didn't rock back and forth like this one does, and nothing has changed in the trailer as far as weight of anything more than maybe 30 pounds.

Maybe that it's 4x4 instead of 2WD? I don't know, but it sure is nothing like the 14 was when it comes to towing or hauling. Being 2 inches higher off the ground maybe? I don't know, just trying to understand why the two are so different from each other when it comes to towing, especially since this trucks weight is 20 pounds more than the 14 was.

Did you ever look into that electric power steering module update? It wasn't a TSB, it was something else...

Not yet, not without the SSM.

When I say rocking, I mean that once the truck is stopped, the truck will move back and forth a few times, but only with the small trailer attached, the rest of the time it just bounces.

You might think about putting airlift ride control bags on your truck. When you haul that small trailer air them up until it just starts to lift the truck. That will stiffen the rear just enough to make it a very solid towing experience, when you unhook just reduce the air to 5psi approx. and you won't even know they are there.
