I went with **** as the factory mirrors that match up with my VIN are over $2,000.

Everything works with them installed (blis, 360 camera, lights, etc).

Default Mirrors

Looking in the Accessories Catalog, the heated, power, turn signal, manual fold mirrors ARE available, and at not too bad a price.

According to my parts guy, looking at the Base Kit Part No. 17696, which he said was power, t/s, heated, and manual fold, was $400 something. The numbers mentioned in earlier post are the same I now see in the catalog, are mirrors separately. The number I showed is the for the pair. I'm just curious if they're the same ones as on a MAX TOW equipped truck??

I guess it's just another "gotcha" after the sale of the truck, you figure you can add them, but the ACTUAL cost of them isn't disclosed.

have you connected to say a travel trailer and can you actually see around it like the actual tow mirrors? I know with the older model trucks those style mirrors didn't help see around one

The OEM tow mirrors are great, even for every day use. I actually find them to be much better than the standard mirrors when it comes time to park the truck. If the price works for you and you don't mind having bigger mirrors on the truck full-time I think they're a great choice. My test drives were both in vehicles equipped with the standard mirrors. Until my truck arrived and I started using the tow mirrors daily I was uncertain whether I had made the right decision in ordering the tow mirrors rather than the standard ones. Having daily driven with them now, though, there's no looking back...or, actually I guess there is...that's kind of the point, isn't it?

I haul an enclosed car trailer that is 8.5' wide. Plenty of adjustment to see along the side of the trailer. No campgrounds for this guy. Hotels or motels are my travel stops.

To be honest, the standard factory mirrors (on the King Ranch) do a decent job by themselves which surprised me.

A couple more pics...

The thumbscrew is what holds the mirror on tightly. There is a wedge (for lack of a better description) that slides in a groove. You are supplied with neoprene strips that stick to the wedge. The wedge and thumbscrew work together to hold the mirror on.
