250 and 350 trucks come with leather and pretty much any option you care to add.

Yeah I know, though I am guessing the MPG on those are so bad, you can't ever find any numbers on them. I am not going to be towing something heavy every day. If this wasn't my DD or if my work required a tow vehicle, then I would consider a SD.

I just took two F-150s crew cabs out for a test drive a couple days ago. One was a loaded Lariat 3.5EB 6.5 4x4 w/ 502a, tailgate step, 36gal, 3.55EL and it had a surprisingly high payload 1771. I guess the 502a doesn't add much weight compared to a 1800lbs of the 3.5EB 500a 4x4 5.5 w/ Max tow that I saw online.

The 6.5 didn't feel any bigger when driving it through normal traffic and I was very impressed how it drove, accelerated, and how quite the cabin was. The turning radius on both were larger than my current vehicle, but they I barely noticed a difference in the turning radius. I guess the 5.5 is so large to begin with that a 6.5 isn't that much different. I read and notice that people with the longer beds tend to park further back in the lots and back their trucks into space so the bed overhung the grass. I don't mind parking further away, walking is healthy, and I hate door dings. I do see how finding street parking or making a tight turn would be annoying for both beds.

While the 5.5 would fit into the garage, I really don't park my current SUV in there anyway. I always have some project and it is kind of tight to begin with. I could always bump out the back of the garage to make room from the truck, if I really wanted to. My wife drives a large sedan, so that makes a smaller garage, even tighter. Most people in my neighborhood park their trucks outside. I have no idea how one guy gets his 2500HD into his garage. 0_o
