All you really need is the airlift ridecontrols. They are rated for 2000 lbs of lift which is more than most anyones normal F150 has in payload anyways. They have been great on mine and I paid less than $200.

I have seen a number of people complain about the ride with the Airlift 5000's being stiff.

Currently using timbrens and previously used Supersprings. Both worked great and are zero maintenance and don't have to worry about air.
You never mentioned what you are towing length and weight wise.

Can you guys comment...

- will the air ride help with the rear end hop/skip when there is no weight in the bed or trailer attached? Living in NYC and surrounding areas... the roads are choppy.. and I routinely get rear wheel hop...

Is the ride more compliant?

Thanks

I've got the 2000lbs AirRide bags and they're great. Keeps the truck level with the trailer behind it and when not towing I drop the air to 10psi and can't even tell the difference from factory.

HwyCycle - they will not help with the hop. Bilstien 5100's will.

Agree'd. I had the Ridecontrol bags for almost 2 years before the Bilstein 5100's, and the Bilsteins were what cured most of the poor handling characteristics.

Even loaded, the air bags only help to level the truck. It still wallowed around like a whale until the bilsteins were on.
