We bought a TT in Michigan last year and had it delivered to Montana, and still saved $4K over the local price here in Alberta. we bought from TerryTown. 30% sounds about right.

Many of them are volume dealers selling into Canada and don't seem to need to make as much on the sale of a new unit as they deal better with the units that sell.
^-----This.

Manufacturers are tooling up for new models that will start hitting lots in next month or two. So you can prob did some good deals on them. New ones start hitting lots in may, give or take.

We factory ordered our 14' starcraft. It arrived in mid July after an 8 week wait.

30% off msrp is about right.

Well, all the input is wonderful!
We did buy a Keystone Cougar 21 RBS. Pretty nice set up for the two of us! We decided that the extra space was nice without going overboard in size. We really want to travel some and this will give us a fun way to do it. We spent last night I it. It was 27 degrees and we were plenty warm and toasty! Somehow we turned on the exterior docking light last night and had to drive home with it on because we had no idea how to turn it back off! LOL! Had to google to learn there was a button on the remote! Doh!

We ended up with almost exactly 30% listed price. Dealership treated us wonderful and we are very pleased!

Thanks all!

For those who are new to shopping, we learned a few things as this is our very first RV.

Watch the list of goodies that come with the trailer. We learned that this trailer does not come from the factory with batteries. Not a big deal but when negotiating price, I had one deal tell me if I wanted to save a buck I could bring my own battery as it could not leave the lot without due to trailer brakes. The dealer we bought from included two batteries in the price. There are upgrades and options on these trailers. I kind of assumed one brand and model would be the same across the board. Not necessarily so. It is the details. For example. Our trailer came with the ladder to the roof. Nice touch. I wanted one and had no idea it was an option. There were several upgrade packages. Ours came with all. I'm now sure the others did not. ( for the prices quoted )

Our dealer went over many systems, how to do things, buttons to push, advice, etc etc! Wonderful information. However, there is so MUCH more to learn. For example, we are very heavy boaters. Black water is an issue to contend with on boats with heads. It is nasty business no matter how you cut it to dispose properly.

Being aware I was fretting in my mind over what to do with this hose after dumping the black water tank ( poop tank ). My neighbor immediately says dump black water first, then grey water second to rinse the hose! WOW! Simple common knowledge I did not have!! However that was not my fear. I figured I could rinse with a hose. I was worried where to PUT this nasty unsanitary hose!! Inside my brand new trailer? YIKES! He laughs and walks me out to my trailer. Goes straight to our rear bumper and pops a cap off the end! Slide it in there! LOL! OMG! I'd have put that nasty thin in my PU and here is a built in spot for it!!

OK, so in short, you have friends that camp. ASK THEM for advice. You will learn so much if you are new to this it will be overwhelming!

Watch the feature options and details when price shopping! I now realize a lot of cool things on my purchase were options!!

Good luck and happy hunting!

Scott

You can also install black water flush systems before your poop tank gets too nasty. Some higher end trailers come with them already installed. Just hook your city water supply up before you leave the campsite to flush the black tank. No need to run a nasty hose in the window and down the commode.

Our TT came with the black water flush. The sales guy mentioned it several times. I thought it was odd because it seams everyone would want one. As newbies to TT we are learning!
