Ranger boats aren’t exactly the lightest boats out there. Take your time towing, and allow plenty of stopping room with that ol’ pickup!

There is a lot of parts that can help your engine, partially due to the Mustang crowd. Ford's letter cams are good for torque and an 'E' cam should work well following a rebuild. A version of the 302 I like is the 331 ci stroker. Ford's Y303 heads are high swirl engineering and can help.

the modular 4.6L has more power than the old 5.0's. that could be an option for you too.

More OEM HP, slightly more OEM torque. Headache to convert.

yeah, i wouldn't want to convert it. i meant get a newer truck with the 4.6 as an option. they will have more power to pull your boat.

IME after dozens of dyno sessions with my '89 GT, there is little need to remove the emissions. A full tilt race car is a different matter.

I agree truck trade is in order. I retired my 1993 F150 for a 2003 F250 5.4 2-valve.
