Default 9000 klm

Well got back from the big one, 9000 klm, Peace river Alberta to Wiarton Ontario and back.
truck pulled like a champ.
Set trip meter when I pulled out of driveway, Average milage for the trip was 22.6 liters per 100 or 10.4 mpg.
2 years ago with the 13 f150 and 21 foot fifth wheel weighing 4000 lb loaded averaged 21.6 liters per 100 or 10.8 mpg.
So more then doubling weight, more frontal area and 331 gears, only cost me an extra 1 liter per hundred, pretty good
truck and trailer weighed in at 14660.74 lb
5 liter sport 331 gears
one thing I learned, when you do the inevitable 5th wheel fudge up and miss hook and drop the trailer on your truck, the tailgates stand up about as well as a steel gate
But not a ripple on the boxsides...
