Possibly the hitch is a bit aft of its ideal location. The kingpin should be over or slightly ahead of the axle, however in this case its more an issue of too much tail and not enough dog.

Yeah, the center of the kingpin should be at least 2" in front of the center of the rear axle, and ideal is at least 4". It requires very careful measurement to properly install the 5er hitch so it's at the correct position in the bed.
Looking at that photo you cannot tell for certain if the trailer has an extended pinbox that would put the center of the kingpin ahead of the center of the rear axle. But it's obvious that the trailer is too much trailer for that SRW pickup. He needs a dually to tow that much trailer.
