My 2017 based on what I carry with me travelling I can be within my specs if I would have a trailer 7700lbs or less.

It is the Anderson WDH, it does a better job of sway control than weight distribution. Although if done right it will work well for both. It is very light and quiet. Most people who have one do not know how to properly load up the chains. Lift truck and trailer up with jack, tighten the chains, and lower the truck/trailer. As you lower, the chains do the work. The sway control part is amazing. It works great.

2016 SCAB 5.0, 1942 payload, Tow package, 3.55 gears, Omega tune, Timbrens in the rear, Hellwig Sway Bar. Tow 2 trailers at the moment. a 8.5x18+4' V (6300 fully loaded)w/ Blue Ox sway pro 1,000lb bars, and a pop up camper (like its not there).
I cant say enough about the hellwig sway bar and turning off the trailer sway control. 5.0 has all the power in the world, never needed more the 4000rpm for the steepest hills at 75mph. My truck was squirrely as hell around Semi's and in the wind. The Hellwig and suggestion to turn off the anti sway completely changed my truck. passing semi's now is a calm experience. The Tune really helps too I believe. I am disappointed every time I return to stock when I bring it in for oil changes.
Future upgrades- Billstiens and Michellin LT tires. Id call my truck at the moment a B+ to A-. Replacing the rear shocks and some real load E tires should make it an A. May add a PMAS intake and 170 Therm but thats for fun

2013 XLT 4x4. The mods I have arent on the truck in this picture yet. All I have done so far is a cold air induction kit and installed the Edge CTS2 programmer. I have aspirations for air bags, long tubes, high flow cats, and the Roush Racing cat back exhaust system. Maybe wheels and tires.
The trailer is a 37 foot, 2 slides. She weighs in at 6000lbs dry. With gear and full tanks we estimate 7500 lbs. Pulls like a dream. Without the trailer and running the CTS2 in economy mode I get an average of 22mpg. With the trailer and running the CTS2 in towing mode I can pull the rig in moderate winds averaging about 11mpg. That's with an average hwy speed of 70 MPH.
Just after we bought the trailer. No mods yet.

In a couple of months we are headed up to Missouri and will be going through the Ozarks. I'll get a chance to see what she can do then.

No, not yet I haven't. Dont see much elevation in SE Texas. Even in the Texas Hill Country we dont get much more than a few hundred feet. No real grade challenges either. Just lots of wind down here.
