I have no use for a Super Duty either but if the half tons keep climbing in price, my next truck will be a 3/4 ton but most likely a gas model. I don't tow or haul enough to justify the expense of a diesel and gas is still relatively cheap so a few MPGs lost going from an F150 to a 250 wouldn't be too hard to swallow financially.

I stopped by my local dealership today and saw a new F450. It was locked, so I couldn't see the payload number, but what I could see was the price!!!

Just did a 200 mile trip mostly rural interstate, some metro speed up slow down interstate, some city on each end too. My hand calculated, filled until I can see it each time, was 19.4. That is setting cruise when possible and not pushing acceleration. That is 1.5 better than my 13 150 on the same trip.

To be fair, that is a platinum edition. But yeah, diesel trucks are crazy expensive. I debated getting one when I was looking, but even mildly used ones are super expensive.
