Perhaps its for the 2018 STX package configuration since it has less features because it's based off an an XL model (so more payload) and has the 20" wheels already. I went by my dealership because I was curious but I could not find any yet.

So first you need to find a 2018 F-150 with HDPP, and those are rare birds.
Supposedly not. The HDPP trucks didnt get a bump this year because it required 20" wheels to get the super duper towing package and you can only get the 17's and 18's on the HDPP's.

Well, fords build & price chat is useless. I asked the guy what the exact requirements were for 18400 lb GCWR and all he came back with was a 3.5EB, screw, with 3.55's. Didnt even mention max tow or anything. I asked him what specific packages/options are required and he kept telling me to go to a dealer.

LOL Like a Dealer knows! The only dealers who would know are those whose main sell are work trucks, and there are not that many around.

Whats weird is that my truck has the tow package but also has the optional stand alone options like the 3.55 locking rear and the trailer brake which automatically gives me the heavy duty towing package without ordering the heavy duty towing package.

Watch me whip, watch me sway sway.

Both of those can be added to the truck at a later time, and then he will be fully rocking the max tow package... it just didn't come from the factory that way.

Yep. Going to do the same myself, this truck rocks too much on turns. Sumo's in the back helped some, but the front needs to be stiffer. At least this one has a tow package so less likely to overheat climbing a grade with a load.

Nope. On the tow package i get the upgraded frint stabilizer bar already. The engine oil cooler only comes on the 3.5 eb and not on the 5.0 at all for obvious reasons.
